General Hospital spoilers reveal Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) is going to show himself to Ava Jerome (Maura West) today. This seemed strange just looking at the promo, but yesterday’s episode revealed why this desperate (and possibly dumb) move will happen. It’s appears connected to the Jasper Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard) feud. Here’s what you need to know.

So, we know that Jax has been hiding a problematic house guest lately. Nikolas is complicating Jax’s life big-time. First, just having him keep the secret to start with. Two, using Jax’s credit card to rent a van with the intent of helping a dangerous fugitive escape. Then, it impacted Jax’s relationship with Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy). He was unable to let her move in with him, as that would compromise their secret. That last part led Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) to question things. Nikolas, apparently deciding he’d done enough damage so far, came clean to Carly. He still, however, begged her to keep the secret. This seemed like a solution for now, but things got complicated on December 3rd. Here’s what went down….

Sonny and Jax obviously have no love between them. When he got wind of a “woman” living with Jax, he questions this. Like a dog with a bone, he refused to let up in wondering why Jax would let some woman get in the way of his own daughter. He figures this must be a very serious relationship. Yeah, you don’t try hiding things like this from a guy like Sonny. They have a radar for BS. It’s kind of a requirement for survival in the business.
Lucky for Jax, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Lexi Ainsworth) called for help. This tabled the discussion for the moment, but you know Sonny won’t have forgotten this. Carly told Jax as much, and said that Jax is playing a dangerous game. She ordered him to kick Nikolas out, or expose him. Anything to keep Sonny from taking action and possibly destroying Joss’ family again. So, what’s next?

General Hospital spoilers: Looking ahead
We’re pretty sure that Jax sees the wisdom here. Nikolas has been on thin ice anyway, so we’re sure this will be the final straw. We’re expecting Jax to do exactly what Carly says, leaving Nikolas no other choice but to resort to desperate measures. As in, get Ava to help him by revealing where the portrait is. We’re guessing that Ava will be compliant with this, as she has no love for Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart). Even if she’ll probably (rightfully) be mad that he landed her in a psyche facility. But is this too little, too late?
We’re seeing some potential trouble ahead. Things have already been strained between Sonny and Carly at times. And we’ve already mentioned his relationship with Jax is horrible. With the Nikolas thing out in the open, can they really keep the full extent of things quiet? Carly knew for a little while and has said nothing. Jax has been working this thing since he came to Port Charles. With the authorities aware of the “credit card fraud,” there’s a paper trail. And Sonny knows that Ava thought she saw Nikolas at the gallery. There’s enough pieces out there for Sonny to put this puzzle together. We don’t see many people coming out well from this.
