She has been popping up a lot lately on ‘Days’ and many watchers are very confused about where she came from. Eileen Davidson is the actress who originally played Susan and she does look a lot like Kristen DiMera.

Susan first appeared on the show in 1996. Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo) brought Susan into Salem to impersonate Kristen. She had just lost her child and Susan was pregnant at the time. Stefano wanted Kristen to have Susan’s child and it was to be a huge baby swap.

As on all soaps, things don’t really go as planned and Stefano was in deep water when things didn’t go his way. Susan fell really hard for John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and they ended up being engaged and the wedding almost happened! John actually thought Susan was Kristen!
There were quite a few secrets kept in this whole baby swap and love triangle storyline. Susan was eventually exposed at the wedding and things just started to get worse from there for Susan. Susan took her baby to England for a few years, but she did eventually return to Salem.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Back in Salem for Susan
In 2014, Susan was brought back onto the show. She came to visit her son, who is all grown up now. His name is Ej DiMera (James Scott). Susan being the caring mother that she is thought that EJ was in some sort of danger and she wanted to do anything should could to help him.
EJ was shot and Susan was incredibly heartbroken. When Susan came back in 2017, Susan found out that EJ was still alive and he needed to go to the burn clinic to treat some of his injuries. She was so happy to see him even though he was in a horrible condition. This month, Susan has come back to ‘Days of Our Lives’. We love that she is back because her character brings us some comic relief. Things are getting even more complicated with her back in Salem and we hope to see much more of her as the summer goes on!
