According to royal expert Kinsey Schofield, Prince Harry’s extensive disclosures have caused fatigue among Americans.
Americans Are Fed Up With Prince Harry’s Disclosures-‘Victimhood As Currency,’ Says Kinsey Schofield
Schofield expressed her response to Harry’s talk with Dr Gabor Maté, a trauma expert. The Duke was criticized for the cost of the ticket, with Schofield stating that it was shocking to charge viewers to watch. Harry charged viewers approximately £20 to view his interview which included a copy of his book Spare.
In her comments, Schofield said: “People are done with the whingefest. People are done with the crying. The way these people [Harry and Meghan] use victimhood as currency. I think culturally we are tired of it and it’s going to end soon so they better get out of it.”
During the event, one of the most noteworthy points was Dr. Maté’s on-the-spot diagnosis of Harry. The 38-year-old was diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder, which refers to individuals who have trouble concentrating excessively, without exhibiting other symptoms associated with ADHD.
Not only that, but Harry also openly discussed his drug usage and described marijuana as a distinct substance from others he had tried. He also revealed that cocaine had no effect on his life. And yet, these disclosures did not go down well with Schofield. She added: “The American people specifically are really getting tired of the complaining and crying.”
The social media response was much the same. Large numbers of people were of the view that Harry had to change the narrative surrounding his personal life in order to become relatable. One person wrote: “Harry, it must be exhausting, the continual selling of yourself as a victim, but it’s necessary because it’s the only currency you have.”
Clearly, Harry has to rebrand moving forward, which is why King Charles III’s coronation provides an opportunity to reconcile should the Duke take it. Time will tell. So there you have it folks.
