Amber Heard has reportedly hired a new PR team just a few days prior to her having to testify in her trial with Johnny Depp.

This is clearly a bold move but could only be explained on the grounds that her current team was inadequate for the job. And the proof seems to be in the pudding. The general consensus on social media is that Amber’s account of Johnny’s abusive behaviour is failing to stand up to scrutiny.
With that being said, the actress will want to make sure that everything is in a good place. After all, there is so much money on the line. Johnny is suing her for $50 million, while Amber has countersued for $100 million.
That is why she has decided to hire Shane Communications, who will take over the duties from Precision Strategies. It is not clear if this is going to make any difference towards the outcome of the case, but one thing for sure is that Amber will need to make a change.
After all, she has already begun to receive some backlash with regards to her career. Reports indicate that her time on ‘Aquaman 2’ will include just 10 minutes of screen time. Although it is not clear if this is due to the fact of her trial with Johnny, but outside of an explanation to the contrary, it does seem to be that way.
The reaction from the fans on social media was damning, though. A significant proportion of people felt that it was too little too late, as the amount of evidence against Amber suggested that it was now all damage limitation. One person wrote: “No amount of PR is gonna make her look good!”
Amber clearly has her work cut out, but given that she has a chance to put her side of the story across, who knows what the trial will throw up next. We will have to see how this will play out.
