On Sunday, 19th March 2023, Amanda Bynes was put under psychiatric observation as she had been wandering around the city of Los Angeles without any clothes on.

On Monday, 20th 2023, a person who was present at the scene informed TMZ that Bynes, who suffers from bipolar disorder, stopped a vehicle while not wearing any clothes and informed the driver that she was struggling with her mental health.
This was significant since she had the psychiatric episode almost a year after being released from an eight-year conservatorship.
According to reports, Bynes contacted emergency services and was escorted to a police station where a specialist assessed her mental health and concluded that she required a 5150 hold.
She is said to be receiving treatment in a facility, and the duration of her hold may vary depending on her condition.
According to her former fiancé Paul Michael, Bynes, she has reportedly stopped taking her medication. And that is a major relapse in light of the following.
Amanda Bynes’ parents, Rick Bynes and Lynn Bynes, backed her efforts to gain independence. Lynn acted as Amanda’s conservator, while Rick was involved in the legal matter.
Once the conservatorship ended, Amanda’s lawyer revealed that the former child actress, who has battled addiction problems, was making good progress and is excited to live with Michael.
In July 2022, Amanda and Michael called off their engagement. This was after Amanda accused Michael of viewing “MILF” porn.
Despite Michael passing a drug test, Amanda believed he had relapsed in his drug use. The response on social media was one of mass concern.
A certain subset of people were of the view that Amanda needed to get support as soon as possible in order to make sure that she was okay.
Meanwhile, others expressed her sadness at how unwell she was coming across given that she had so much to offer to people.
One person wrote: “This poor girl. She’s been doing so well recently. I’m hoping its a good sign that she sought help from the passerby/police.
“Now…leave her alone. Let her get well again. Don’t follow her,” while another person stated: “Prayers for Amanda and her family.
“Mental Illness does not discriminate. So unfortunate she has struggled with this for years.”
