Alex and Jennifer decided to part ways just when it seemed that a wedding was on the cards. Although the news was a shock to the system, looking back it was inevitable. The couple had openly discussed their marital issues, with Jennifer confirming that they were attending counselling. And given Jennifer has moved on with Ben Affleck, it was time for Alex to do the same.
In a post to his fans on Instagram, he said: “I am about to step into a new beginning in my life. Anything that doesn’t serve me is clearing out of my life.” So what can we expect from Alex? Well, as of now, he is focused on improving his brand. While he is known for his baseball success, not much is said about his business mind.
Alex is reportedly set to come out with his range of concealer sticks for men, which marks his attempts to push the boundaries in the business world. And by the sounds of it, this is just the start. A source revealed: “He’s working on building his business in Miami and networking with people in the industry who will bring him and A-Rod Corp more attention.”
Although Alex is moving on in a new direction, there is no denying that he has been left with a bitter pill to swallow following Jennifer’s hook up with Ben. Alex previously spoke on how fond his kids were over Jennifer, and the same applied to her kids with regards to Alex.
He had been hoping for a reconciliation, but Jennifer decided that they would work better as friends. Having said all that, Jennifer seems to have distanced herself from Alex completely. That has left him feeling the pain. An insider stated: “Alex was jealous that Jen and Ben were seeing each other.” It is probably wise that Alex sticks to his ventures, as they are a welcome distraction from Jennifer and Ben.
