Adele, who is worth an estimated $190 million dollars, recently said that she moved to Los Angeles because she wouldn’t be able to afford the “same kind of house” in London and that’s why she packed up her bags and moved to California, instead. Cue Meghan Markle sitting in her own $14 million dollar mansion in nearby Montecito letting out a royal snort and cackle.
The chart topper made her comments during an interview with British Vogue. Adele said she wanted to relocate when she realized that back in London, she was spending most of her time either inside a car or in a building and wanted to be where there was “fresh air and somewhere I could see the sky.” She settled on London and apparently got “the kind of house I have in LA I could never afford in London. Ever.”

When the interviewer couldn’t believe what Adele just said – considering her staggering net worth, Adele stood by her statement. “No, I looked at houses. It’s like hundreds of millions of pounds. I don’t have that much money at all. I’d throw up,” she said. However, Adele did add that she has a place in London that is apparently “very European.”
With that said, Adele did purchase three properties in the upscale Hidden Valley community in the past five years, according to reports. She bought her first home in Beverly Hills for $9.5 million in 2016. In 2019, she purchased her second home for $10.65 million and just this year she bought her third home for $10 million from fellow celebrity Nicole Richie.
