Actress Sophie Turner has opened up on how her acting has improved, as a result of becoming a mother.
Actress Sophie Turner Reveals That Motherhood Has Improved Her Acting
Sophie, for her part, welcomed her daughter Willow with her lover Joe Jonas in 2020. And ever since that moment, she began to discover many things about herself which ultimately came across in her acting.
That has naturally led her to becoming more comfortable with performing different roles now that she has added to her repertoire. During an interview on the UnWrapped podcast, Sophie spoke about the visible benefits she has had since becoming a parent.
She said: “Family has made me an entirely much more emotional person. The empathy is heightened; the feelings about family are just like overflowing. It’s made me a better actor for becoming, you know, becoming a mother.”
Aside from being a mother, another thing that has helped the actress become a more rounded individual has been her marriage to Joe. The couple secretly tied the knot in 2019 before going on to hold a big bash in France.
Not only that, but since that moment, Sophie continued to appear in big movies. In the same year, she was cast as the lead in ‘Dark Phoenix,’ as she had the main role of portraying X-Men’s Jean Grey in a solo story of the character. And with so much to look forward to, her life could not be in a better place.
And this was the sentiment being expressed on social media. A significant proportion of fans were delighted to see that Sophie was doing well, especially since she has struggled in the past with depression. And now that she has come out of it the other side, they wished her nothing but the best. One person wrote: “Congratulations.”
