The duo recently got engaged, much to everyone’s shock, given that Aaron had reportedly been on course to potentially marry Danica Patrick. Not to worry though, it has now all been forgotten. An insider told Us Weekly: “While some might be perplexed of how compatible they are, it’s obvious among those close to them that they’re meant to be.
“They’re a great match because they’re both hardworking, career-focused, have a similar lifestyle and are down to earth.” The duo’s relationship raised huge eyebrows, as they could not be from two more different worlds. For his part, Aaron is a major NFL player who has had to cope with the demands of a draining sport for over a decade. Shailene, in contrast, is not the biggest name on TV.
But Aaron’s qualities have won her over. The insider added: “People think of Aaron as this tough football player, but he actually has a soft side to him and can be goofy and nerdy.” The couple have not looked back since. They were seen getting on board a private jet as they made their way to Mexico to have some downtime. They have kept their relationship under wraps for some time.
And yet, as things continue to become more serious, they are making their relationship open to the public. Aaron has made no secret about his desire to have children. And at the age of 37, along with an NFL career reaching the latter stages, now would be the perfect time to start. In a previous interview, he said: “I think the next great challenge will be being a father.
“Maybe not in the immediate future, but definitely something I look forward to.” And it is not just fatherhood that Aaron is excited for. He has reportedly been making plans to get married to Shailene, and by all accounts, preparations are taking place behind the scenes. The only stumbling block has been who to invite, given that Aaron does not have the best of familial relationships.
