Prince Harry has been smacked in the face as he has been edited out of the BBC’s royal coronation documentary. The Sussexes went from one insult to another, as this year they were mocked by South Park and Family Guy.
The parodies for both shows were memorable and quite funny, as Harry and Meghan went on a worldwide privacy tour and then lounged by the pool, receiving millions of dollars for “No one knows what.”
Prince Harry Was Not Featured in the Documentary
Now, the BBC has aired a new royal documentary called “Charles III: Coronation Year.” The new documentary provides insight into what was going through Charles’s mind when he became the King of England.
It contains moments that feel more personal and highlight that it was not only a royal occasion but also gave viewers a special glimpse into them as a family.
The documentary has some warm moments where royal fans see Charles as a person, not just as the ruling monarch.
In the documentary, Princess Anne reflected on her mother, Queen Elizabeth, and her passing. She was very candid about her conversations with Elizabeth before she died.
The Queen did not want to be “difficult” and pass on at Balmoral, far from London. Queen Elizabeth was so selfless and genuine right up until the end. She was only thinking of how her family felt.
Prince Harry was not featured in the documentary, partly because he wasn’t involved in the coronation. He came to the UK, sat in the back to watch, and then left.
Interestingly, the royals edited the documentary so that Harry is not featured at all, not even in passing. All the other royals are featured in the documentary, but not him.
The “Duchess of Montecito”
Even minor players shown in the documentary are way behind Harry in succession. It’s an embarrassment to the Duke of Sussex, whose rift with the royal family seems unending.
Harry’s wife, Meghan Markle, did not show up at all, as she was in Montecito, California, with her two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilabet.
Archie’s birthday is also said to have “factored into” her decision to stay behind. In Omid Scobie’s book, “Endgame,” Meghan did not want to “dive back into the soap opera of the court.”
Of course, if the Duchess of Sussex had attended the coronation, she would have likely made it all about her. The consensus about Meghan is that she can’t stand it when she’s not the center of attention.
Queen Elizabeth’s close friend, Lady Anne Glenconner, stated that the royals badmouthed her at the coronation. She said she spoke with American politician John Kerry at the coronation in May 2023.
Apparently, he said that Americans pitied Harry because of his marriage to Meghan. Some have even taken to calling her “Duchess of Montecito.”
The tension between the Duke of Sussex and the royal family has been growing steadily since Harry and Meghan were married.
The last time Harry was seen publicly with his brother, Prince William, and father, King Charles, was at Queen Elizabeth’s funeral in September 2022. The royal rift runs deep.
The question is, what will happen to Harry? Will he be permanently edited out of the royal family? Let us know what you think in the comment section below. Also, visit Daily Soap Dish to see more about the royals and your daily soaps for up-to-date spoilers and events.
