‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers for November 2nd reveal a very special episode. In the interest of beating people over the he—er, public service, Port Charles has an election going on. Since we haven’t been reminded enough over the past few months about the real one looming, ABC and the PTB at GH are here to make sure you know what your duty is.
And we’re pretty sure this episode could be missed without actually missing anything important. But let’s try to piece together what little plot there might be ahead.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers For November 2: PSA over plot
Who needs a plot? Not here. ‘General Hospital’ spoilers tease it’s Election Day in Port Charles! Seriously. That was all the promo was about. Besides a bunch of clips where Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) participate in their first election, there wasn’t much to see here.
At least, nothing of any consequence to the current story arcs. It’s the other teasers that give us hope for something worthwhile ahead.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers For November 2: Lessons learned
In case you won’t get the point of this episode, the promo clip shows Joss doubting how much her “one vote” means. Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will make sure she knows it’s her duty to do so. Plus, Joss learns about her great-great grandmother.
Who, obviously, must have been part of the fight to get women the vote, as there’s a banner commemorating that milestone in the promo. Plus, you see a bunch of old pictures as well. We’re sure Joss’ cynical thought will be completely forgotten by the end of the episode, and she’ll learn so much from her powerful experience. Right. Let’s move on…
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers For November 2: Hope ahead
Meanwhile, ‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) might help save this episode from being all messaging and no real entertainment. She lends Ava Jerome (Maura West) a hand. We’re having a hard time picturing what might bring this about, but we’re looking forward to it.
They’ve had an adversarial relationship at times, so it might be interesting to see one helping the other. There are so many problems Ava has right now, it’s hard to pick just one Portia can help with.
We know one thing for sure: it could be bad for Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews). If this thing requires them to be around each other quite a bit—or they become friends out of it—that means possible contact with Julian Jerome (William deVry).
And we all know he caught Taggert at the pub. Sure, he didn’t know who Taggert was, but he did find that phone and it could come up. He seems genuinely confused and even a little concerned about someone watching Trina.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers For November 2: Moving on
In other hope for some fun story, there’s Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring). On Monday, she shakes off a mistake. We’re thinking this could be her trying to move on from hiring a couple of obvious messes.
They lost a major deal, so we see a lot of regrouping in her future. Finding a new voice of Deception, of course, would be a big priority. We’re looking forward to seeing her get her hustle on solving that and possibly trying to find a new company to stock their products.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers For November 2: And back we go
Finally, Carly and Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) are eager for an update. This, we’re less enthusiastic about. Given we think Carly seemed way more excited about Joss’ election experience than Joss—and the family connection from the past—we’re pretty sure this is back to the special episode stuff.
They’ll probably be waiting to hear all about Joss’ first time at the polls. Either that, or they’ll be anxiously keeping an eye on the tallies.
