The standout actress has been a notable absence since late March, and the storylines have actually integrated her off-screen maternity leave into on-screen happenings. As a result of Hope becoming over-attached to her daughters, Steffy left L.A. for Paris to give the grieving mother some room to breath and work things out with her husband, Liam.

B&B spoilers indicate that this storyline was a write in since Wood’s off-screen pregnancy happened so quick that writers needed to figure out a way to proceed with the show’s main story line, the baby Beth/Phoebe swap, without losing any steam. Of course, many fans have remarked that her sudden departure didn’t quite make sense, but it’s fair to say that all the plots have come around nicely since her abrupt departure.
Thomas has reentered the picture and is infatuated with Hope and desperately wants her to become the mother that his son, Douglas, recently lost (Caroline). Conveniently, Thomas orchestrated the slyest of schemes when he managed to convince Liam to get on a plane to see his girls and Steffy. He played Hope’s emotions like a fiddle and manage to manipulate all of them to get his way.
All to say that now that Steffy is in Paris with Liam, and Hope is in L.A. with Thomas, things are about to get quite interesting. Although the storyline was most likely a write in, it sets up a heated finale to the baby swap saga that will surely leave fans of the Bold and the Beautiful on the edge of their sets.
