TLC ’90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After’ spoilers finds that Paul Staehle just took his wife on arguably the strangest field trip ever. He took her to see a waste water treatment plant. What exactly he was trying to accomplish by this, I’m not sure, other than to prove to Karine Staehle that the US had decent plumbing?
Whatever the reason, Karine was not impressed at all. Karine complained of the smell (if you’ve ever passed by one of those places you will know exactly what she’s talking about) and didn’t understand why Paul would bring her along on such a mission. In the end he ended up asking the Foreman for a job there but the Foreman said that they weren’t hiring at the moment.

So, was this to prove to Karine that he was actively trying to get a job, by going out and visibly begging a foreman at a plant for one? I mean, you could have just applied online and drove Karine past the plant, Paul. You didn’t have to take her on a tour of the place.
I mean, even if my husband did want to work at a waste water treatment facility I doubt I would want to tour the place. And most people who think logically would understand that, I think most guys who work at those plants don’t want to tour them for fun.
But yet here Paul was showing off this place lik he’d just taken Karine and Pierre on a Picture Picture tour in Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood!
Or, considering Paul’s alleged stalker tendencies, did this trip have a slightly darker purpose? Was Paul showing Karine this place to get her to potentially stop talking about going back to Brazil because there was a thinly veiled threat in there?
After all, when they finished the tour and after he got turned down from the job he was the one that brought up going to Brazil again, not Karine. Even though he seemed to acquiesce to her wish to go back to Brazil, the tone in which he said things was quite… done, I’d say.
While no one wants to think that Paul would be capable of going that far and threatenng his wife, even in a non-verbal way, there’s been some questionable actions there before. Is this why Karine ran away? Did she sense a threat too?
It’s just strange that he would take her on a tour of the place instead of just telling her about it when said place is, well, disgusting! And why expose your baby son to those fumes? I mean, come on man. I’d feel weird about it if I were Karine too.
Given how things have played out between them off camera it just makes one wonder. I guess we’ll see. Stay tuned!!!
