Fans were thrown off as they saw Karine lock herself in her bathroom when she and Paul were having a fight. The producers asked Paul what happened and he said, “I’m not sure. I told her mom’s coming over. She’s gone to the bathroom, and is not coming out.”
She did come out and then she told Paul, “I’m feeling bad. It’s not you, Ok?” Then she went to the park by herself and ended up not really talking to Paul that day. It was incredibly weird and many fans think it is because of her depression, but others think it’s domestic abuse. What is the real story?

Karine finally came out about what happened that day. “Things are not going well since I arrived in America. I left the house because I wanted to be alone. I was upset because I’m not adapting here in the U.S. and because Paul and I have been arguing a lot. A few weeks ago, I gave Paul two months to find work, but nothing has happened so far. So I want to talk to an immigration lawyer to know what the options are with my situation here.”
When Karine met with the lawyer, she wasn’t sure what to expect. She said, “I’m very scared. It’s the first time I’ve left the house without Paul. I don’t know if Paul’s going to be angry with me. But I need somebody to help me. I’m desperate.”
Paul and Karine’s fights have gotten worse. She posted recently on Instagram, “I had issues where the police was called because I feared for my life and my son’ life which led me to ask for help and ultimately be rescued from an environment that no longer was healthy for none of us involved in the situation.”
