CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers say that even Melissa Claire Egan knows that her character Chelsea Newman needs to get a grip on herself and her emotions. The actress recently opened up about Chelsea’s relationship with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and the reasons why she’s been feeling so insecure lately.
Apparently, there’s a good reason for it: she’s worried about Adam running away with his ex-lover, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case). And she’s probably not wrong about it, either. Here’s what you need to know.
‘Young and the Restless’ spoilers tease that Adam needs help. He’s getting these awful flashbacks from the time when he killed AJ Montalvo. He obviously needs therapy in order to talk about his problems, but if there’s one person Chelsea doesn’t want Adam to see, it’s Sharon. Unfortunately for Chelsea, that’s exactly what he does.

Melissa tells Soap Opera Digest in an interview, “He goes to see Sharon for therapy and Chelsea’s like, ‘Uh uh. Anybody else. Not your ex-wife.’ She’s very threatened by that.”
However, Melissa does add that she wouldn’t mind seeing a Sharon vs. Chelsea battle in the coming weeks. After all, it’s been some time since we’ve seen a cat fight in Genoa City, right? This time around it will be Adam right smack in the middle of things.
She said, “That kind of indicates the whole Chadam/Shadam triangle that has been going on for nine years almost. As long as I’ve been on the show. So it’s kind of great what you can really sink your teeth into on a soap if it gets that far.”
