The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that a lot of fans are none too pleased over the fact that Gina Tognoni (Phyllis Summers) is leaving the series. To make matters worse, it doesn’t seem as though she is leaving on good terms, either. And while it looks like the decision was made by producers of the show, a lot of fans are taking out their anger and voicing their disbelief online. Some have even reached out to Gina’s replacement, General Hospital actress Michelle Stafford, as she will soon be taking over as the new Phyllis.

Just recently Michelle shared a throwback photo of her and her two children on her Instagram account. And while a lot of people commented on how cute and adorable the photo was, others couldn’t help but talk about all of the behind-the-scenes drama going on with Gina leaving Genoa City and Michelle taking her place.

Some people wrote comments such as, “OMG you left General Hospital?!?! I loved Nina and Valentin and I’ve never liked Phyllis Summers. This really sucks!!!” along with, “Wow can’t believe you are actually leaving the awesome character of Nina to go back to Phyllis (blab). You are much better as Nina and totally leaving us GH fans high and dry with out your character or another recast.”
Another person even wrote, “You Michelle are a TRAITOR…Gina was fired so you can come back.. That is so wrong on so many levels.. You left Y&R to go to GH and now that your contract didn’t go your way you take Gina’s job.. Do you sleep well at night knowing that you are a deplorable person?”
Yikes! Needless to say, a lot of fans are incredibly passionate about their soaps and their favorite characters!
