Disney+’s ‘The Mandalorian’ has crushed the Emmy’s, receiving 15 of the 19 nominations on Disney+. Perhaps most notably, it’s been nominated for Outstanding Drama Series, going up against contenders like ‘Better Call Saul’, ‘The Crown’, and ‘Ozarks’! That’s a tough call.
The other nominations include Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance for Taika Waititi as IG-11, Outstanding Production Design For A Narrative Program (Half-Hour), Outstanding Cinematography For A Single-Camera Series (Half-Hour), Outstanding Fantasy/Sci-Fi Costumes, Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing For A Drama Series, Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup For A Series, Limited Series, Movie Or Special, Outstanding Music Composition For A Series (Original Dramatic Score), Outstanding Guest Actor In A Drama Series, Outstanding Sound Editing For A Comedy Or Drama Series (Half-Hour) And Animation, Outstanding Sound Mixing For A Comedy Or Drama Series (Half-Hour) And Animation, and Outstanding Stunt Coordination For A Drama Series, Limited Series Or Movie.
Some of these were double or triple nominations for separate episodes! Still, for 15 nominations to come to ‘The Mandalorian’ is awesome and shows that this series is exactly what fans want. An incredible well put together show in the Star Wars universe that pays homage to the original trilogy.
