While a lot of people will certainly agree that 2020 will go down as perhaps one of the most challenging, uncertain and difficult years on record, Ellen DeGeneres can definitely say the same.
Not only is she generating negative headlines after multiple people have gone on the record to say she most likely is not the nicest person on daytime television, but now a new report says that her home in Montecito estate was burglarized earlier this month. Here’s what you need to know.
According to reports, while no one knows if Ellen and her wife Portia de Rossi were home, the thieves took a bunch of expensive jewelry and watches. So far there has been no word on the value of the stolen items.
Ellen DeGeneres’ Summer Just Got A Whole Lot Worse
Even though Ellen is yet to make a comment about the matter herself, the local police department is telling other residents in the neighborhood to avoid posting about their vacations and to perhaps leave the lights and television on if they are going out.
Ellen and Portia bought their home back in 2019. The 8,000 square-foot property is worth an estimated $27 million dollars. Meanwhile, there’s another report that says the crew of her daytime television show are all reveling over the fact that Ellen is getting so much bad press for the way she’s been treating others poorly for years now.
“They’ve been calling and texting each other about the story,” the source revealed. “They’re loving that the truth — which has been an open secret for years in the industry — is finally receiving more interest.”
Ellen’s former bodyguard Thomas Majercak told Fox News that his experience with Ellen DeGeneres was anything but pleasant. He said she was both cold and demeaning to her during the 2014 Oscars ceremony.
“Ellen is the one person that I’ve been assigned to — and I’ve been assigned to quite a few celebrities — that has never taken the time to say hi to me,” Majercak claimed to Fox News at the time.
