EastEnders spoilers have indicated that there could be heartbreaking scenes in the BBC soap before the end of the year. Viewers will be aware that Linda Carter has endured a difficult couple of years, and her spiral has led to Mick Carter making a huge decision regarding their future together.
Mick has been trying to do everything to ensure that Linda is able to overcome her demons, and that was further highlighted when he made the decision to see the Queen Vic. In the dramatic scenes that aired before the soap ran out of episodes, it was revealed that the new owners of the famous pub were Ian Beale and Sharon Mitchell.

It was a twist in the tale for fans, as many had believed that Sharon was going to buy the pub with Phil Mitchell. However, it would appear as though there is no coming back in their relationship now, as Sharon opted against a future with Phil, and instead got into business with Ian. That decision could also have a dramatic ending, as it is unlikely that Ian will be able to keep his secret hidden regarding the death of Dennis Rickman away from Sharon for much longer.
Meanwhile, Mick believed that the only way for him and Linda to move on was by selling the Vic. But, there is a sense that there could yet be another twist in their story and Linda could relapse after having some bad news regarding her son Oliver.

Linda has been working hard to overcome her demons in the soap, but she has already previously suffered a relapse. Mick decided that he needed to take the possibility of her relapsing again out of the equation in order to help his family. Selling the pub was meant to safeguard their future, but there could yet be another twist.
It will not take a lot to drive Linda back to drink, and a heartbreaking piece of news regarding her son could see her hit the bottle once again. However, as well as having a dangerous effect on her wellbeing, it could also take a mental toll with Mick unlikely to stick around if Ollie is set to be hurt by Linda drinking again. But, could the former landlady be about to lose everything that she holds dear?
