British Royal Family News says that Prince Harry might have been duped. That’s because while life in Southern California might be very sunny for him right now, he and Meghan Markle will soon find out that it will all come at a huge price – their privacy. At least that’s what one royal expert believes. Here’s what you need to know.
Ex-royal officer Simon Morgan said in a new interview with the podcast Royalty Us that both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will never get the privacy they crave especially now that they are living in the paparazzi epicenter known as Hollywood. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex said that they wanted to step down from their roles as working members of the royal family so they can focus more on their personal lives and their charity work but it looks like that could only happen if they chose to live anywhere else but in L.A.

Morgan explained in his interview, “Sadly no, and I think a lot of it will depend on how they actually engage with people in terms of the ordinary person in the street. People of wealth, viability and status, the protection team has to allow them to live their normal lives, or the lives that they choose. You as the protection team have to mitigate all those risks to allow them to achieve that. It would be very easy to just say, ‘Don’t ever go out, don’t ever speak to anyone and we will put them behind the wire and we will protect you.’”
Luckily for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle they’ve managed to live a quiet life in L.A. so far, but that’s just because everyone has been sheltering-in-place because of the Covid-19 pandemic. But now that the state of California is lifting its strict mandate and policies, things might also change for Harry and Meghan and their life as they know it.
Morgan added, “That’s not how people wish to live, so the work is always on the protection team. The work is always on them to deliver a protection package that allows them to lead that lifestyle, but ultimately you just have to mitigate the risks. They can lead that lifestyle, but the protection team really has to bring their A-game and they have to mitigate all the risks that go with it.”
