‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: The awkward never ends
‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) is fantasizing about Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) while Eric’s getting advised by Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) not to hide his feelings for Sarah, as it could end up turning out really bad. She references what happened when he and Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) clashed over Nicole Walker (Adrianne Zucker). And we’re continuing to marvel at how very incestuous this town is.

Things get even worse later. Eric never gets a chance to profess any feelings, because Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder) shows up at the hospital with some balloons for Sarah. At the end of the strings are an engagement ring, and he pops the question for the second time. Will she accept? Will she go for Eric instead? If she does, will Rex really be able to keep it in his pants? Guess we’ll have to wait and see.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: More plotting
Marlena is doing more than playing love doctor. She’s promised her daughter she’s not going to stop until she’s gotten Will Horton (Chandler Massey) out of this attempted murder mess. She comes across Will and Leo arguing and confronts Leo about his behavior, saying that a crappy childhood is no excuse for destroying lives. Leo is amused, but Will isn’t. He punches Leo, and when Leo tries to retaliate, Marlena gets involved. The whole thing is stopped by John Black (Drake Hogestyn), who shocks them all by defending Leo.
Diana Cooper (Judith Chapman) is doing some scheming of her own. After discussing the situation with John earlier, she begs for more time to figure things out before he opens his mouth about who Leo’s real daddy is. John is determined that the truth will come out, and seems just a little sympathetic at learning about Leo’s abusive fake father.
Having bought herself some time, Diana pays a visit to the ever-awesome Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston). She interrupts a rather testy exchange between him and Leo, asking for a private moment. Victor, meanwhile, just wants Leo to get some freaking clothes on and get the hell out. He’s obviously not thrilled with the attempted murder charges filed. She proposes a little deal for Victor. If he’ll help her get John back, she’ll get Leo to leave them all alone. So basically, this whole family doesn’t care one bit about whether someone actually loves them back. They just want the person (or the person’s money/power). Okay, then. Think Marlena can help them work through these obviously deep relationship issues?

Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) wins the episode today. Before managing to get Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith) and Will out on bail, he has a few words for them. In a nutshell? They’re idiots. He’s blown away that they actually admitted to the blackmail photos and that this “attempted murder” ever happened. By spilling all to the cops, they’ve basically ruined almost any defense he can come up with. He also reems them out for not calling 911 “like a reasonable person.” They’re shocked when he informs them the new DA is one Mr. Ted Laurent (Gilles Marini), otherwise known as the guy who took the photos in question. Yeah, their chances are looking great. So great, in fact, Justin says that he’s only taking this pretty much hopeless case due to being Sonny’s dad. Gotta love those parental reality checks.
