Nikki begins by describing her life with her mother, Barbara Reed. She raised her and her sister Casey, who became a doctor later on in life. Nikki explains how her mother was killed in a car accident and how her father came back into the picture. Casey warned her sister about Nick Reed’s checkered past, which included sexual abuse allegations. Nikki killed Nick when he tried to attack her.
Nikki also recalls the first moment she met Paul William (Doug Davidson), a man who has always been by her side, for better or for worse. She also writes about her marriage to Greg Foster and how she dramatically ended it. Nikki explains that she was always someone who looked for adventure in her life and some of the mistakes she’s made, including her involvement in the New World commune.
Her life then took her to The Bayou. Nikki says she has no regrets from that time period. In fact, it was also the first time she set her eyes on her future husband, Victor Newman. Victor gave her a diamond bracelet and they had their first kiss.

The Newman family matriarch also has flashbacks to her alcoholism and how both Jack and Victor tried to confront her with her issues. She also talks about her faith, the shock she had to overcome with Katherine’s death and her emotional reunion with Victor after he was presumed to be dead. In the end, she signs her letter and leaves it with her thoughts and prayers.
