CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers here to close the week out with another throwback spoiler. Rivalries Week has been a hit with fans as we’ve enjoyed seeing our favorites indulging in some much needed tension release therapy. This episode first aired on May22, 2014 and had a run little battle between Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Hilary Curtis (Mishael Morgan) over Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John). More than they battle over where Hilary can or should date Lily’s father (Neil), this is another chance for us to see the awesome Kristoff St. John in action once again.

Lily has made no secret on how she feels about Hilary seeing her father, and their healthy debate takes a curious spike as Lily tries one more time to reason with Hilary. Of course, how she tries could be considered extreme by some, but at least being awakened with a cold bucket of water get the blood pumping, right? Yeah, fine. It’s extreme. But it’s attention getting, isn’t it? Lily continues going after her, accusing Hilary of destroying her family and seducing Neil when he was at his most vulnerable.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Throwback For May 15: Lily and Hilary have a Confrontation
Hilary doesn’t feel she’s done anything wrong, and claims she’s just been living her life. When that doesn’t work, she asked Lily is she thinks she can keep them apart. Starting to sounds like a teenage love triangle. Ever notice how soap opera characters never seem to grow out of puberty? Just something CBS “The Bold and the Beautiful” Spoilers has noticed. In time, their discussion leads to Lily concluding that Hilary loves her father. Hilary then says that Neil is a good man and show her respect and kindness.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Throwback For May 15: Good timing, Neil
Neil picks right then to enter, effectively sabotaging any peaceful understanding the two women may have been close to reaching. Lily takes the opportunity to reignite her fury by turning on her father and demanding him to explain why he’s making the worst mistake of his life (such a teenager thing to say). He stands his ground, explaining it’s his decision to make and Hilary is part of his life. Lily responds in typical teenager style and left the room. The scene ends with a tender, loving moment between Neil and Hilary.
It’s a really cool way to close out the rivalry portion of the week, as it shows there’s another side or solution during the worst of times. It does a great job of showing the complexities of human nature, and has left CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers wondering what’s in store for next week.
