British royal family news finds that fans were in adulation of the senior royals on Tuesday, as they led the tributes for healthcare professionals that have been ‘keeping the show on the road’ throughout the coronavirus pandemic. The video was revealed, and it showed Prince William, Prince Charles and Kate Middleton all thanking the nurses from around the world.

It is believed to be the first time that all members of the royal family have been on a Zoom cal at the same time, but it was used to mark a special occasion. Yesterday was International Nurses Day, and this year it was celebrated more actively than most. Much of that was down to the fact that people from around the world wanted to use it as an opportunity to honour their sacrifice and determination during the pandemic.

Queen Elizabeth also got involved in well-wishing, as she spoke to the president of the Common Wealth Nurses, Kathleen McCourt. McCourt is also Fellow of the Royal College of Nurses. The Queen is the patron to that organisation, and spoke of the importance of the day when speaking to McCourt on the phone call.

Bits of the conversation were released for fans to hear, as the Queen continued by admitting that the nurses have had a huge part to play recently. The call was followed by videos of the other senior royals showing their adulation for the part that nurses have played during the pandemic. Kate joined forces with the Countess of Wessex to speak to nurses in Australian, India and the Bahamas.

Of course, there has never been a greater importance on International Nurses Day, as the healthcare professionals have been working tirelessly all over the world to keep the general public safe throughout the pandemic. The occasion is also used to honour Florence Nightingale, and took on additional sacrifice as it comes on her 200th birthday.

Fans of the royal family were quick to talk about the fact that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry played no part in honouring the nurses on the royals video call. It was an incredibly moving touch by the family as they honoured healthcare professionals from around the commonwealth.
