To break with the current trend, this episode is more than ten years old, airing November 13, 2009 at Katie Logan (Heather Tom)’s childhood home in San Fernando Valley. Everyone’s gathered as Katie prepares to marry Dollar Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) with her sisters at her side.

There’s no denying Katie is one of a kind as she’s one of the few purely good characters that haven’t been corrupted on daytime television yet, and many view her as the only woman to ever steal Bill’s heart. Well, CBS “The Bold and the Beautiful” Spoilers hates to disagree, but that honor goes to Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang). At least, partially.

Katie is the one that makes Bill want to be a better person. She balances him and keeps him on the good side of the fence. Brooke seems to be more aligned with his wild side, giving him an excuse to let loose and give into his baser instincts. Both are good for him in different ways, which explains why it doesn’t matter who he’s with — the other one is always calling to him in some way.
CBS ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Spoilers Throwback For May 6: Special guest star
What’s really cool is the addition of a special guest star as Katie’s father. Known to many around the world for his role on the primetime soap opera Dallas (not to mention the distinction of having an entire season following his death was a dream), Patrick Duffy dusts off his acting chops to play the role of Stephen Logan.
In many ways, he’s the perfect one to play Katie’s father, as he brings a weight and history to the show that may have been missing previously thanks to his acting past. It’s a cool link between two of the greatest soap operas ever, and allows fans to kick around the idea Stephen may be Bobby Ewing leading a double life. Not that we’d ever suggest that. Nope, not us. Nuh uh. His presence also negates any argument that this episode isn’t a classic because, well, Patrick Duffy is a classic. He’s an extremely talented actor that’s had a great career. This is just makes things… right.
