CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers find that producers take fans back to 1981. We are played another Halloween episode as producers air classics in light of the global pandemic. The producers have been playing episodes over several different decades, reminding viewers of the rollercoaster that Genoa City has been through over the last several years.
On Monday, May 4, fans are reminded that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) have been rocky from the start. For those who don’t remember, the two began as a fated love story from either side of the tracks. Victor was a sought-after bachelor, and Nikki was a rough-around-the-edges stripper. Nikki was a blond bombshell who was used to getting hit on by many of the patrons of the clubs that she worked at.

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Recap: 1981 Throwback Where Nikki And Victor Were Rocky From The Start
One evening, Victor’s close friend, Colonel Austin, came to the club and invited Nikki back to his ranch with him. He told her that he was writing a book and wanted to interview her. She agreed, however, his questions soon began to strike a chord, and Nikki wanted to leave. As the evening ensued, Colonel interested Nikki with horsing. Fans began to unravel the story that Colonel had brought Nikki back to size her up. He was debating whether Nikki would be good enough for Victor Newman himself.
As it turns out, both Nikki and Victor were lying to each other that night. Victor was lying about his identity. However, the couple still believed they were star crossed lovers and continued onwards for decades of a rocky relationship, which resulted in several affairs and crossed paths. Fast forward nearly four decades, and the two are still together—Albeit, with ample drama overtime. However, the two have always found a way back to each other. Are you team Nikki and Victor?
