CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers finds that during her cancer treatment, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) has had nothing but support from the residents of Genoa City. Her boyfriend, Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso), has been nothing but kind and supportive, and her daughters Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lund) and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) have rallied around her during this difficult time. Even Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) have sent their well-wishes. However, some critics think that we are in for a surprise with Sharon’s love life – are they right?
A few months ago, Y&R fans got word that Joshua Morrow, who plays Nick Newman, threatened to leave the show. One of his stipulations to staying was that his romance with Sharon (the damsel in distress of Genoa City) would be over for good. However, some critics are second-guessing this now.

During her cancer treatments, Nick has been supportive from a distance. This has fared well for his rekindled romance with ex-wife, Phyllis, and for Sharon’s new beau, Rey. However, what if sparks fly between Nick and Sharon again? Spoilers suggest that Sharon may turn to her ex-husband and baby daddy in light of all of her turmoil. Not that she would need the drama that Phyllis would stir if this were the case, but it seems to be the most recent theory for Y&R fans.
Sharon and Nick have had decades of history. Though messy (like Sharon dated Nick’s brother and father messy), the pair tends to keep falling into each other’s arms. Despite this, they have had numerous affairs on and with each other. Regardless, it can’t be easy for Nick to hear that the mother of his children is battling a dangerous and painful disease.
