TLC ‘Counting On’ spoilers first introduced us to the Duggar family on 19 Kids and Counting. The show focused on Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar and their giant family. TLC then brought us Counting On, which is a show about the Duggar children all grown up and having families of their own. A few of the Duggars have split off from Jim Bob and Michelle because of their views. Jill Duggar married her husband Derick Dillard and the two of them were ousted from the show very quickly. Derick has been writing a tell-all book about how much money the Duggars have made and other confessions.

TLC ‘Counting On’ Spoilers: The Contracts and Payments

The Duggars have been on TLC longer than any other reality Tv family. They first appeared on a TLC special in 2004. Back then, they only had 14 kids! The first episode of 19 KIds and Counting hit the air in 2008. This show ran until 2015 and during its lengthy time on TLC, there was a huge sex scandal and TLC pulled it from the network. TLC managed to get another show with the Duggars in production shortly after called Counting On.

TLC ‘Counting On’ Spoilers: The Duggars – How Much Money Have They Made?

One of the strange things about the Duggars is that they have never explained to anyone how much money they have made from being on the shows. When we make an estimate, we can look at former reality tv stars like Kate Gosselin. It was rumored that she made about $25,000 per episode of her show! 19 Kids and Counting had a total of 229 episodes and Counting On has had 81. So, let’s think about the math. If the Duggar family gets $25,000 to $40,000 per episode, that is quite a lot of money! The question that Derick was bringing up is if Jim Bob has kept all of this money for himself. Derick thinks he has.

Derick told fans in 2019 that he and his wife, Jill Duggar, were never paid for being on the show. He actually claims that none of the children had been paid and for awhile, they all thought they were doing the show for free! When the Duggar children get married, they are given a home, if they choose to stay in the same area as Jim Bob and Michelle.

If and when Derick’s book comes out, we think fans will be surprised with what he reveals after being part of this family for a few years now. TLC and Jim Bob still will not comment on how much they are paid and if the children ever got a cut of the money.
