CBS ‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) has made his play for Newman Enterprises. He’s taken the evidence gathered from Alyssa Montalvo () and is presenting it to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). Supposedly, it contains proof that Victor killed a man in Kansas. However, I don’t think this will be the case. Victor has something up his sleeve and is just toying with Adam to see how far he’ll take it. Here’s what I’m thinking.
Adam is convinced that Victor killed A.J Montalvo and is set on taking Victor down or blackmailing him so he can get what he wants. The CEO position at Newman Enterprises. We saw a preview of them in the office and Adam telling them that he wants it all, with Victor in the background watching Adam. Victor knows something we don’t, and I don’t think he killed that man.

CBS ‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Is Victor Really Playing Ball With Adam Or Is There Something Up His Sleeve?
The real killer, is Adam’s mom, Hope. She confronted A.J about the debt and whether, through intention or accident, he was killed. The phone call that they found wasn’t Hope asking Victor for protection, it was help covering up what had happened. Victor flew down, paid off the coroner, and made it look like an accident to keep Hope out of trouble.
That’s why Victor is playing along with Adam, because he knows the truth and that once he tells Adam that his mother is the one who killed A.J it will devastate him and he probably won’t know what to do. This might be why Victor kept a file with the information on it, it was to keep him out of trouble sure, but also Hope. Hope killed to keep Adam safe, Victor covered it up to keep them both safe.
