In the Friday episode, it became obvious Amalia will not, in fact, make that hearing with Jorge Camacho (Luciano D’Alessandro). While she and Gabriel Pedraza (Mark Tacher) made their way to a road, Amalia got dizzy and ended up in the wrong spot at the wrong time. A poisonous snake bit her, and Gabriel did the best he could to carry her to get help. After all, you can’t exactly call 911 without a phone in the middle of a desert. His desperate race made it clearer these two will get together. But, it also led to some really weird scenes.
Operación Pacífico spoilers indicate he eventually came across a man who seemed like a Shaman type. He tended to Amalia with features and liquids while Gabriel demanded more. He wanted more conventional assistance, and he left Amalia with the guy to find it. The whole time, Amalia was having these surreal visions, and what she saw caught our attention.

Recently, we learned Rodolfo “El Guapo” Espinosa Roldán (Julio Bracho) has been using a dead brother’s identity to fly under the radar and keep his mythical profile. But while Amalia and Pedraza recently visited with the man himself, we learned a bit more about him and his family.

Apparently, he had what appeared to be an older brother. He’d left years ago, and his trek took him through that same desert. While he’d assured their mother he’d be fine, he wasn’t. Much like Amalia, he ended up getting bit. And, if Amalia’s visions are accurate, he ended up getting the same unconventional treatment as she is now. It looks like Amalia and her target might have some almost mystical connection, and we love that thought.

However, Amalia needs to get through this to possibly put some pieces together and use the information in her investigation. It looks like she won’t get much help from Pedraza and Bradley Jones (Klemen Novak). Operación Pacífico spoilers say Jones came across Pedraza by chance and drove him into town, where Pedraza managed to get some anti-venom. However, they couldn’t get to her when we left off. The truck wouldn’t start, and the pair were surrounded by armed men likely on El Guapo’s payroll. We think they’ll really have to push their luck (and their BS skills) to get out of this one. But we’re sure once they all do, they’ll have new insight into their enemy.
