British Royal News finds that it is set to be a busy weekend for Prince Harry, as these are the final few days of his official royal duties. He was at Silverstone on Friday afternoon to open a new museum at the Formula 1 track. This could be the final museum that is opened by Harry while he is a royal.
Harry wasn’t the only VIP in attendance for the event, as he was also joined by six-time F1 champion Lewis Hamilton. The two stars were together throughout the day, and certainly looked to have enjoyed their time away from their normal roles.
British Royal News: Hamilton Beaten By Harry
During the day, there was also a competitive element as the prince and Hamilton took part in one of the interactive features in the museum. The task centred around their abilities to change four wheels of an F1 car; something that Hamilton should have the advantage on. However, Harry may have the skills to work within F1 as he changed the wheels in less than four seconds. Meanwhile, Hamilton needed double that amount of time to change his wheels. The F1 legend joking claimed that he has been ‘stitched up’, before sharing a hug with the prince.
British Royal News: Harry Opens Museum
Harry was at the track to open their new Silverstone Experience. The museum is designed to tell the story of British motor racing, from its humble beginnings to where it could be going in the future. The museum is located in a renovated Second World War RAF hangar. It is set to be a busy weekend for Harry, as both he and Meghan are in the United Kingdom for the first time since announcing that they would be leaving the royal family. Their final official engagement will take place on Monday, as they will both attend the Commonwealth Service at Westminster Abbey.
