CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) fans were all buzzing about Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) next potential love interest after he has been a little less-romanced lately. Speculation suggested that Nick and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) might be back in for a rollercoaster romance after their kiss at Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) gala.
News broke a few months ago that Joshua Morrow threatened to leave the long-standing daytime drama. After producers began negotiations with him, apparently he requested that his romance with Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) be done for good. After hearing that he and his long-time on-again-off-again wife might be over for the long-haul, fans began to speculate that he might fall back into the arms of Phyllis.

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Nick and Phyllis Not Happening? Or are they?
After Victor’s gala, Phyllis passionately kissed him. Which got the wheels spinning on the old romance. However, Phyllis stopped by Nick’s house with food for Summer Newman (Hunter King). Nick explained that Summer was at work before explaining to Phyllis that their relationship could not kickstart back up. He asks her why she kissed him at the gala. We can’t help but wonder whether these people have cellphones or not. WHY hasn’t this been addressed over the past two weeks? Phyllis responded how Phyllis typically does – with fire. She told Nick to get over himself before admitting the motive behind the kiss. She wanted his help with the expansion properties.
Nick then begins questioning Phyllis on what she has on Abby Newman (Mellisa Ordway) before Phyllis gets angry and tells him that she doesn’t need his approval. It looked as though the conversation was over until Phyllis came knocking back on the door. The ice storm had conveniently hit in their twenty minute conversation and now she is stuck at Nick’s house to wait out the remainder of the storm. In true Genoa City fashion, tragedy always strikes at the most telling times. Do you think Nick will go back on his word about their relationship not happening again? Will romance bud during the dangerous ice storm outside?
