NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers finds that Steve, also known as Steve ‘Patch’ Johnson’ (Stephen Nichols), has brought the turmoil and confusion to the show recently. His character plot has been the source of confusion for fans lately, and following his interesting confessions, it looks as though the show will be brought in an interesting direction.
Back in January, we learned that Steve is actually Stefano (WHAT?!). However, other characters on the show weren’t clear of this character switch up. After finding herself in bed with another man, we see Kayla dreaming of her ex-husband. Later on, she was warmly looking at a photo of the two when they were happy together. Kayla is clearly going through a rough patch after their rocky divorce, and she clearly
wasn’t prepared for the bomb that Steve was about to drop on her!

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Steve Reveals His Secrets
When Kayla runs into Steve, later on, he definitely added insult to injury when he confessed shocking information! At first, Kayla asked if he had feelings for somebody else. Steve had no problem admitting to her that he was in love with somebody else. When Kayla continues to pry, Steve tells her his secret love is Marlena (WHAT?!). His shocking confession couldn’t stop there though! In response, Kayla was shocked and confused, as the confession seemed to be out of character for Steve. After all, it was their (ex?) anniversary – how could he hurt her like that? Kayla continues to pry for information out of Steve before he doubly confuses her with the secret that he isn’t Steve at all – he is actually Stefano.
This is a bizarre plot twist that only ‘Days of Our Lives’ can get away with. Stefano lifts his eye patch to signal to Kayla that he really is Stefano, and not Steve at all. He begins talking in his natural accent and to say Kayla is shocked is an understatement. As Kayla demands more information, Stefano DiMera explains the switch up. Rolf transplanted Stefano’s consciousness into Steve’s body – resulting in Stefano completely taking over Steve’s identity! Kayla begs to know where Steve is before Stefano breaks her heart
for the THIRD time. Steve is dead, he explains to her. Now that Steve is gone and Stefano has replaced him, fans are on edge wondering what the future holds for Steve/Stefano’s character. Is Steve really dead? How will Kayla ever move on from this?
