CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers tease that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) will be both forced to fight for their relationship as there will be others who will continue to doubt it. In other words, no one wants to believe that they are in love and that they aren’t doing this for some alternative reason. That always seems to be the case when it comes to the Newmans, right? Here’s what you need to know.

Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, ‘Young and the Restless’ head writer Josh Griffith does admit that for Adam and Chelsea, they certainly have an uphill battle ahead of them. That’s mostly because no one knows if these two ex-schemers are cooking something up behind the scenes or if they truly are in love in a ‘real’ and valid relationship.

Griffith tells the publication, “Adam and Chelsea will need to be a united front as they continue to defend their relationship to those around them who doubt their relationship. Adam and Nick’s rivalry will be ignited by a business venture that affects the entire Newman family.”

In other words, things are going to get even more dramatic between these two half-brothers. If they aren’t fighting for the same woman, then they are fighting for prestige within the family company. But with that said, only one Newman son will come out on top. Of course, ‘Young and the Restless’ fans will have to tune in to find out what will happen next!
