‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers pose the question: Is Stephanie Johnson Kiriakis (Abigail Klein) getting a gun and learning how to shoot a recipe for disaster?
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Stephanie Has Severe PTSD and Needs Help
Stephanie is determined to protect herself after the Owen Kent (Wes Ramsey) kidnapping fiasco, and she told her husband, Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson), that she wants a gun.
She obviously has severe PTSD and never intends to feel helpless like that ever again. DOOL fans also know that right now, Stephanie’s skin crawls every time Alex tries to touch her.
While we understand Stephanie’s desire to arm herself, she doesn’t need a gun; she needs intense therapy sessions with Dr. Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) to help her overcome her deep trauma.
Meanwhile, Stephanie is having trouble sleeping. She has every door in the home locked. She’s exceedingly jumpy. The girl is straight-up terrified, like she’s the lead star in a horror flick.
Stephanie isn’t stable enough to handle a loaded weapon right now. However, she insisted she needs a gun to feel safe.
We can only imagine that perhaps she’ll end up shooting someone unexpected. Someone whom she doesn’t mean to shoot at all.
Stephanie is too afraid to be alone in the home that she shares with her husband. She could easily be alone in the apartment and sense that someone is trying to come in.
Stephanie’s memories of being held hostage with Jeremy Horton (Michael Roark) in that cold, dark storage room in the hospital could send her mind spiraling as Alex or someone else she loves comes walking through the door.
Stephanie may mistake Alex for Owen and accidentally shoot her own husband, which would obviously be tragic.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: What If Stephanie Accidentally Shoots Alex or Jeremy?
Right now, the only person who really understands the trauma Stephanie has endured is Jeremy. She has increasingly leaned on him since the kidnapping crisis, which worries Alex tremendously, given their sordid history.
That said, it could also be Jeremy whom Stephanie accidentally shoots. After all, Michael Roark is set to leave DOOL soon, and perhaps he doesn’t make it out of Salem alive.
We can picture Jeremy showing up at Stephanie’s apartment unannounced, and Stephanie panics, shoots without realizing it’s him.
However, our money is on the victim being Alex. Stephanie recently had a nightmare about Alex being shot. It could have foreshadowed a hard lesson for Stephanie and a very soapy, dramatic storyline about gun safety.
Stephanie would be devastated and likely never forgive herself if she hurt Alex. Talk about having recurring nightmares.
Regardless, Stephanie has a lot of work to do on her mental health and is nowhere near ready for a gun right now. She needs some time to heal from the trauma she’s experienced.
DOOL spoilers indicate that the week of April 20th to 24th, Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) takes his daughter, Stephanie, to the gun range to learn how to use a firearm properly, even though he wanted her to have some therapy first.
With Joy Wesely (AlexAnn Hopkins) set to return to town with Alex’s surprise baby in tow, and Stephanie already in the fragile state she’s in, something ominous and potentially very dark is set up to happen here. We suspect that someone is getting shot by Stephanie.
