La Doña spoilers reveal professional frustration and a possible new love. We know Noelia (Paola Fernández) has a personal reason for looking for the Rainbow killers—her sister was the first victim. However, this case took a couple interesting turns Friday. Let’s take a look at what happened, and what might be on the way.

    La Doña spoilers: Stubborn cops

León Contreras (Carlos Ponce) and Karen Velarde (Mayra Sierra) have been working the Rainbow case. Even after the investigation officially closed, they insisted on continuing. This did not sit well with Ricardo Vidal (Eric del Castillo). He’d been paid a nice amount to look the other way on Fernando “Nando” Valles’ (Cuauhtli Jiménez) arrest. But something happened that’s taken things up a notch.

La Doña Spoilers: Gone too far?

As part of the investigation, they co-conspirator Eduardo Pérez (Agustín Argüello) followed by a colleague. Unfortunately, Lucho Navarrete (Bernardo Flores) found the man sneaking around a hideout and killed him. But our officials weren’t going to ignore the sudden disappearance of one of their own.

They snuck their way into Eduardo’s house, as Karen pretended to be a neighbor with car trouble. Once inside León held a gun to the guy’s head and forced him to call Nando. Eduardo was to get Nando to meet at a specific location. When Lucho happened to find out, he followed and took his accomplice out before he could talk. And Eduardo was too scared to after. La Doña spoilers indicate this did not sit well with their corrupt boss, who suspended them both. Because León’s a standup kinda guy, he insisted he had all the responsibility, leaving Karen still with a job. But this caused a lot of trouble.

    La Doña spoilers: Frustration

He went on a massive rant at home about getting suspended, and how he works his butt off to do things the right way, while the corrupt ones get to retire with honors. It was a tense moment between him and his wife, and Noelia overheard. We think he’s eventually going to go to some interesting places thanks to this suspension and personal unrest. We think it’s leading him right into Noelia’s arms.

    La Doña spoilers: Potential romance?

We’ve seen the pair bond a bit over their troubles, and she is playing a big part as he continues to look into the case from home. But there’s an even bigger reason we think they’ll get together this season.

His relationship with his wife isn’t the best. They’ve argued a couple of times over his work, and she’s not a fan of him putting himself (and family) on the line. A couple of episodes before, Noelia helped his son, Angel (Diego Escalona), let out some frustration. La Doña spoilers reveal she’s been awesome with him, and even better in this latest episode. While his parents fought over his suspension, Angel was about to take off the earphones he wore to play a game. She quickly distracted him so he wouldn’t, sparing the kid an unpleasant fight. We love her feisty nature, smarts, and how natural she is in handling this kid. She’ll definitely be a great influence in Angel’s life.
