Rachel and Thomas were in an argument when Kristen DiMera’s (Stacey Haiduk) bratty daughter dropped this major bombshell.
Of course, she also blurted out to Thomas that Chad is dating Cat and his father is lying to him about them just being friends. Thomas had no issue with Cat until now.
Spoilers indicate that by Friday, October 3rd, Thomas’s behavior will worry Chad. We can only imagine how painful this news is for poor Thomas, who obviously still misses his mother. Cat disrespected her memory.
Thomas could easily have a meltdown over Chad’s decision to be with Cat. Chad will no doubt push Thomas to share with him why he’s so upset.
Chad will be blindsided by Thomas’s potential outburst and likely won’t know how to respond. How will Chad ever explain to his son that the woman who impersonated his mommy is now his new girlfriend?
It’s easy to imagine Thomas feeling like Chad is betraying his mother’s memory by getting involved with this woman who pretended to be her.
Cat and Chad plan on going public with their relationship soon, and we can only imagine how folks like Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) and Jennifer Horton Deveraux (Melissa Reeves) will react.
Julie and Jennifer have made it perfectly clear that not only do they not trust Cat, they even disapprove of Chad spending time with her.
That said, we’re definitely rooting for Chad and Cat, despite much controversy over their connection. Some fans simply don’t accept Cat since she tricked Chad and hurt him deeply.
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Chad Picked The Worst Time To Take The Next Step With Cat
It’s possible that Chad picked the worst time to take this massive step in his relationship with Cat. Plus, Chad has spent years grieving Abigail.
However, now that Chad has finally found someone with whom he’s ready to move forward, Rachel instigates this malicious altercation. She definitely has some of her mother’s personality flaws.
We have to wonder how Chad will handle the delicate subject of his moving on with Cat after she tricked him into believing that she was Abigail.
At this pivotal moment in Chad and Cat’s new dynamic in their relationship, we don’t know exactly how Thomas’s confrontation will go down.
Another reason the timing of Chad’s decision may be problematic is that Cat is conducting an investigation with the ISA against Chad’s brother, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuereigel), and whether he used illegal funds to acquire the hospital.
Cat is keeping secrets from Chad despite their resolve to tell each other everything. If Cat doesn’t tell Chad the truth soon, and he somehow discovers that Cat is working for the ISA, it’s another strike against her.
Not to mention, we know that Chad’s kids always come first. Thomas’s reaction to finding out that his father is dating Cat may remind Chad of the pain she caused him and his family.
Can Chad put Thomas’s discomfort into perspective and realize that he has the right to be with this woman he has come to care deeply for? What if Chad uncovers Cat’s secret ISA mission? Can he forgive her for being dishonest?
