Days of Our Lives spoilers for Thursday, September 4: Rising to the occasion?
First, Days of Our Lives spoilers indicate Philip puts Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) to the test. We know he was considering quitting Titan, as he has had enough of Xander’s antics. Although, we do think he should be giving a bit more patience than this. He did help scam Xander and has put Titan at risk more than once. We think he may see if Xander is willing to just sit back and accept him leaving, or will try to actually work with him to finally bring peace to the company. However, this is Philip, so it could be more than this.
See, there was a clip of Xander performing first aid after Philip appeared to start choking. Did Philip fake this moment to see if Xander would help him, or just let him die so he could be free of Philip. If Xander will do the right thing, which we know he will, he’ll know he can stay on. There is hope for the pair to actually work together. Of course, that would likely go right out the window if Xander finds out that was a setup.

In other news, Johnny refuses to give EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) credit for what he did. While EJ might have done things Johnny was not okay with, we do believe he knew no one else was going down if he hammered at all the different suspects to create reasonable doubt. Which was his job, and we believe that had much more to do with the acquittal Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) never got to deliver than anything Johnny did. And we know that the big fator was EJ forcing Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) to act, which is what definitely got Johnny off. But Johnny doesn’t know that part, so he’ll just continue to judge EJ’s methods and think he did more harm than good for Johnny and those Johnny loves.
As for Chanel has adoption on the brain again. We wonder if she’ll want to adopt Tesoro, not knowing it’s the baby they almost did adopt already. And with Johnny now in the clear and back to focusing on his work and life, rather than resentment, we think she’ll believe he might have changed his mind about his fitness as a father.

Finally, Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal Gabi has a special report for Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis). Obviously, she knows the truth now and she will be ready to spill all the tea about what she overheard. And we assume the evidence is on her phone for Tony to hear it himself. If not, we believe she’ll be making stealing that pen back her top priority.
