‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers suggest that Victor Newman (Eric Braden) is not one to let go of a grudge.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Victor Disapproves Of Kyle Because He’s Jack’s Son
Victor has held onto his grudge against Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) for decades. Apparently, that’s the reason why he doesn’t want his granddaughter Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) to be romantically involved with his son, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor).
He even hired the town vixen, Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver), to seduce Kyle away from Claire. However, Kyle quickly saw through their plot and has since informed Claire how far her grandfather will go to break them up.

In the August 18th episode of Y&R, Claire admitted to Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) that she plans to seek revenge on Audra by telling Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) the truth about Victor and Audra’s deal.
We can see Claire channeling her inner Jordan Howard (Colleen Zenk) to get payback for Audra crossing the line with Kyle.
The jury is still out on Claire’s forgiveness of Victor. We suspect he has another scheme or two up his sleeve when it comes to separating Kyle and Claire.
Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) has shared stories with Claire about the lengths to which Victor went to break up her and her husbands, suitors, and various love interests throughout her life.
Of course, that long list includes the time Victor had Victoria arrested on her wedding day to Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson).
The main issue with Victor Newman is that he always thinks he’s right. The Mustache expects family loyalty, yet doesn’t possess one ounce of respect for the people he proclaims to love.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Claire Called Victor Out At Cole’s Memorial
Victor is determined to “protect” Claire from Kyle and interfere in her love life. Even after Victoria warned her father to stay out of Claire’s relationship with Kyle, he seemed not to have learned his lesson.
Victoria even admitted that she almost disowned him when he interfered in her past relationships. We have to wonder if the final straw with Claire was Victor’s toast at Cole Howard’s (J. Eddie Peck) memorial service.
He raised a glass to Cole and commended Claire’s late father. He was an outsider who managed to become an accepted member of the Newman family. Despite the fact that many others had tried and failed to do so, he succeeded.
Claire knew it was a dig at Kyle and called her grandfather out for it. However, we don’t think Victor will stop at his failed scheme with Audra to break up Kyle and Claire.
Victor’s hatred for the Abbott family is so twisted that he literally made a deal with Kyle’s ex-fling to break his own granddaughter’s heart. He may even set Claire up to be arrested, just as he did with Victoria.
We think Victor’s overinflated ego needs to be taken down a notch. Claire should be the one to make it happen!
Unfortunately, Claire’s evil aunt Jordan may have damaged Claire’s mind. It was so severe that it made her incredibly lonely. She wouldn’t be willing to walk away from a family member. No matter how selfish and toxic Victor is, it’s inevitable that Claire will forgive him anyway.
