Stephen Baldwin is one proud dad — and for good reason.
The 59-year-old actor recently opened up about his daughter Hailey Bieber’s massive success after her skincare brand, Rhode, was acquired by e.l.f. Beauty in a stunning $1 billion deal. The proud father shared his thoughts during a recent appearance on The Adam Carolla Show, where he praised Hailey not just for the size of the deal but for her dedication and business savvy.
“It took her three years,” Baldwin said, reflecting on the rapid rise of Rhode. “What, did you think that was just some rotten tomatoes journey?”

He emphasized that Hailey, 28, didn’t simply lend her name to a product — she built something authentic from the ground up. “The cool part of it is she’s super smart, smart in business,” he added. “She succeeded as a model before all this, but what’s impressive is she had offers to do big things in cosmetics years ago and turned them down.”
According to Baldwin, Hailey insisted on creating a line of products she would actually use herself — ensuring Rhode wasn’t “just B.S.”
“She wanted to make something that works, especially for hydration,” he explained. “And that’s why people are responding. It actually delivers results.”
While Baldwin is clearly thrilled about the success of his youngest daughter, he’s not the type to micromanage. “I let my kids do what they’re doing,” he said. “And if they want to throw a boomerang at me, I’ll call them back.”
Stephen, who is also father to 32-year-old Alaia Baldwin Aronow, added that he’s just as proud of his daughters’ personal lives. “I’m blessed that my two daughters married two great guys.”
Despite the billion-dollar headlines, Baldwin made it clear that money doesn’t change what matters most: family.
“In the wake of whatever their success is, their dad remains the same,” he said. “I’ve always been that way. You’ve got to be the one to tell your daughter the truth.”
Hailey’s Rhode brand, known for its clean and minimalist approach to skincare, has become a breakout hit among Gen Z and millennial consumers. The $1 billion acquisition by e.l.f. Beauty marks a major milestone for the brand — and a defining moment in Hailey’s entrepreneurial journey.
