Days of Our Lives spoilers for Tuesday, May 20: Welcome back… sort of.
First, Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal Ari Horton (Marissa Reyes) exists and Gabi DiMera (Cherie Jimenez) will actually be a mom again as the character returns to Salem. This time, she’s been aged up to fit in with the other teens on the canvas. Since they’re bothering to bring Ari back to town, we do hope they’ll have plenty of mother/daughter interactions ahead. We honestly think they didn’t show them together enough when the character was around before.
There may be some problems ahead, though. We wonder what Ari’s fathers think of this. We see no indication that Gabi got the okay from them before sending that ticket. So, is Ari in some kind of trouble and trying to run away from fathers who are trying to discipline her? We’ll see.
Speaking of Gabi, she and JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss) continue their squabbling. Likely she is still offended that he had the nerve to accuse her of a crime she admitted to Rafer Hernandez (Galen Gering) she considered committing. It sounds like she only stopped because of someone else being there. We like Gabi, but this is one case where we think she needs to get over herself. We’re not saying get back together, exactly, but how about dropping the offended act?

Elsewhere, EJ turns to Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) when he needs some assistance. Now, we’d be tempted to say he wants her to put in a word for him regarding his bid to buy the hospital. However, with the miracle drug MIA, this is likely more about a personal matter. We expect he’ll want Paulina’s help to smooth things over between him and Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman). Although, we don’t really see her being particularly open to that.
Days of Our Lives spoilers for Tuesday, May 20: Venting
Finally, Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal Belle Black (Martha Madison) is there for Shawn unburdens himself to her. We imagine this will be mostly about his guilt over his father’s condition. It’s not looking good for getting that drug in time and Shawn’s actions ultimately led to this.
At least, we are pretty sure this is the case. We honestly hope he wouldn’t be dumb enough to tell the DA that he broke into a lab to steal an unapproved drug. Of course, who knows? Given how Belle excused herself recently to have “plausible deniability” with EJ, maybe she’ll overlook this as well.
