Kate Middleton has been given a rare honor as “Catherine’s Rose” has been named after the Princess of Wales, and all sales will be donated to the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

RHS Aims To Boost Life-Saving Funds For Cancer Care

The Royal Horticultural Society wants to celebrate Kate’s work promoting “the incredible healing power of nature” and boost funds for life-saving cancer care.

The money from the sale of the coral-pink flower will go to Royal Marsden, where Kate underwent cancer treatment last year.

    Kate Middleton presents Catherine's Rose

The description of the rose on Harkness Roses’ website says,

“Catherine’s Rose is a stunning floribunda. The highlights are a mid to dark Rose Pink color, a rich, strong rose perfume, with hints of Mango, a scent to transport you to happy childhood memories.”

It also has hints of Turkish Delight.

Kate visited the Royal Marsden Hospital in January, where she and her husband, Prince William, also became patrons.

Royal Marsden’s mission is to make sure every single patient has the support and care they need to achieve the most favorable outcome.

The RHS also named the flower Catherine’s Rose to highlight the importance of spending time outdoors. The outdoors can play a role in someone’s mental, physical, and spiritual health.

Kate has chronicled her love of nature and how it has helped her heal during this past difficult year. She has shared on social media how her experiences with nature have been “very spiritual.

The future Queen has also explained on Mother’s Day this year that nature has been her family’s “sanctuary.” RHS director, Clare Matterson, told us that Kate’s message about the outdoors is essential.  Also, being surrounded by the natural world is vital for healing.

Harkness Rose Took Special Care In Breeding This Magnificent Rose

In her poignant post to mark Mother’s Day this year, Kate expressed her love of the outdoors,

“Let us celebrate Mother Nature and recognize how our bond with the natural world can help not only nurture our inner selves but remind us too of the role we play within the rich tapestry of life.”

Each rose sold will help the Royal Marsden develop a training program for clinical teams across the country.

Harkness Rose took special care in breeding this magnificent rose, which will bring joy to many gardens and keep the pollinators busy.

This lovely bloom will no doubt be a key feature in many beautiful gardens in England. Bright and colorful, Catherine’s Rose is the perfect flower to perfume any patio or spacious backyard.

Kate Middleton has always had a deep appreciation for nature, and last month she opened up about her connection in a new short film with the Chief Scout, Dwayne Fields.

The Princess shared how she feels that nature has healing power and a positive impact on mental health during a visit to the Lake District, where she spent time with a group of scouts. She explained that nature brings her a sense of peace in this “very busy world.”

Royal fans will need to be quick to snatch up Catherine’s Rose. Only 15,000 of these spectacular flowers will be presented this year, with more to come in Autumn 2026.
