Princess Kate Was Offended By Meghan On Several Occasions
There are countless stories about the Duchess of Sussex and how she behaved with her in-laws. While Harry has his share of mistakes to answer for, Meghan Markle is notorious for the uproar she caused in the royal family.
Meghan’s last visit to the UK was in September 2022 for Queen Elizabeth II’s memorial service. The walkabout she and Harry participated in with Prince William and Princess Kate looked extremely uncomfortable.

When Meghan Markle first started dating Harry, everyone expected her to form a strong bond with Princess Kate. However, after an awkward first meeting, an uncomfortable request, and a row over a bridesmaid dress, there was no turning back for the two women.
In Harry and Meghan’s docuseries, she recounted the first time she met William and Kate in January 2017 and how she didn’t realize the royal family’s “formality” “continued behind closed doors.”
She admitted she’s a hugger, which, as she said, is “really jarring for Brits.” It only worsened when the “fab four” went to their first and only royal engagement together.
Prince William Called Meghan “Rude” And “Abrasive”
At the Royal Foundation Forum in 2018, Meghan asked Kate to borrow her lip gloss, and Kate understandably grimaced.
The final straw for them was when Meghan made Kate cry over Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress for Harry and Meghan’s wedding in 2018.

During Harry and Meghan’s infamous March 2021 interview with Oprah, Meghan claimed that Kate made her cry.
Meghan also made the faux pas of commenting on Kate’s hormones, and Kate was not amused. The Princess of Wales forgot something, and Meghan joked that she had “baby brain,” which greatly offended Kate.
William wasn’t impressed with Meghan and called her “rude” and “abrasive.”
Kate refuses to comment on her side of the story, as proper royal family members “never complain, never explain.”
Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, also had a bone to pick with Meghan, as she stole the attention away from her daughter, Princess Eugenie, on her wedding day.
Meghan thought Eugenie’s wedding to Jack Brooksbank in October 2018 was the perfect opportunity to announce to everyone that she was pregnant. Eugenie and Sarah were said to be “furious” over Meghan’s lack of decorum.
Meghan Was Not Allowed To Visit The Queen At Balmoral Before She Died
The Queen and Prince Charles were deeply hurt when, during Harry and Meghan’s Oprah interview, Meghan essentially branded the royal family racists, saying there had been “concerns” and “conversations” regarding the color of her son, Archie’s skin.
Even during the Queen’s final days at Balmoral, Charles reportedly told Harry he didn’t want Meghan to come to Scotland, although Harry was welcome to see his grandmother.
Royal expert Robert Jobson later claimed that William was asked not to bring Kate so that Meghan couldn’t come.
Speaking of the Queen, Meghan showed her true colors on her wedding day when she wanted to wear the emerald tiara, but the Queen offered her a diamond tiara, which her grandmother, Queen Mary, wore in 1932.
It was reported that Meghan’s attitude when she didn’t get her way disappointed the Queen. Meghan’s behavior revealed to the Queen that Harry’s bride was selfish and ungrateful.
The Queen Knew The Sussexes Would Try To Cash In On The Royal Family
However, the Queen was reportedly very sad when the couple stepped down as working royals in January 2020.
The Queen knew the Sussexes would try to capitalize on their royal titles and said,
“I don’t own the palaces, I don’t own the paintings, the only thing I own is my name, and now they’ve taken that.”
Meghan was reportedly many things during her time as a royal, and gracious was not one of them. Her poor behavior is the stuff of legend.
Meghan allegedly bullied the palace staff and is said to have made grown men weep. She made persistent demands daily and lacked the class and dignity worthy of a royal.
It was a surprise to no one that, in the end, she took Harry from his true calling to move back to California and take a chance on her string of failed commercial ventures. Perhaps it was “Megxit “that stung the Queen the most.
