‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers here and we’re ready to get back into the action after the holiday with some spoilery goodies to share.

Thursday, December 26 looks like an interesting character development episode with some expected twists.

Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) will want to answers from Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) when he decides to Reopen Sharon Newman (Sharon Case)’s case.

The fact he was quick to those Daniel away but will take Sharon and Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc)’s word is as inconsistent as it gets.

Chance really needs to start asking is people want fries with their order.

Meanwhile, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will be looking to blow things up. So, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will try to refocus her on taking down Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).

Billy’s argument will be that his revenge will keep her out of prison. But while they talk, Ian Ward (Ray Wise) will be plotting with Phyllis being the key.

‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For Thursday, December 26: Daniel has a right to be furious

‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers aren’t surprised Sharon and Michael get Chance to reopen the murder case.

All that was needed was Sharon doing some pleading and Michael giving a heartfelt “Trust me, bro.”

So when Daniel finds out, he has every right to be furious. Especially after chance ran him in without a second’s hesitation and Sharon’s confession and plea are now meaningless.

Maybe Daniel should’ve dated Chance? It always works wonders for Sharon to wiggle out of any situation.

It’s obvious Summer Newman (Alison Lanier) doesn’t have Sharon’s skillset, but few do.

‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For Thursday, December 26: Phyllis is the key

It looks like the way to prove Sharon innocent and win over Daniel is to make his family the focus of Ian and Jordan Howard (Colleen Zenk).

And now Phyllis is the key.

While Ian will plan to use her to further his agenda, Billy will be doing the same. He’ll try to get her focus off of Sharon to keep her out of jail for her kids.

His plan will be to focus on Victor, and it will be an interesting sell.

We have no doubt Phyllis will work with him on it, but she’ll be easily distracted. It’ll give Ian the chance to target her and set her off on going after Sharon.

His hope may be to have Phyllis kill Sharon, and that could make things interesting. Especially since history as shown everyone will abandon her in some way.

What do you think is Ian’s plan? Let us know in the comments below.
