Spiritual leaders have urged King Charles to come to a truce with his son, Prince Harry. The father and son have not had a good relationship since Harry stepped down as a working royal in January 2020 and left the UK with his wife, Meghan Markle.
King Charles Is The Head Of The Church Of England
King Charles and Camilla attend church every Sunday as he is the Head of the Church of England. His Majesty appoints bishops, archbishops, and deans of cathedrals on the advice of the UK Prime Minister.
The King’s mother, Queen Elizabeth, is remembered for her devotion to her Christian Faith and as a moral and religious sovereign. Her unwavering beliefs got her through some of her darkest moments. Charles followed in his mother’s footsteps and is a committed Christian and a regular churchgoer.
As the “Supreme Governor of the Church,” Charles has promised to protect Christianity and the many faiths of a spiritually diverse Britain.
Inside sources claim that Charles feels comfort from the guidance he’s received. He has spoken with these faith leaders about everything ranging from his damaged relationship with his youngest son to the death of his parents, Elizabeth and Prince Philip.
Since he inherited the throne, Charles has spent much time considering different theologies and their teachings. Most notably, he has been learning about the nature of forgiveness.
Charles has derived “spiritual nourishment” from these wise counselors and may be more open to the idea of more harmonious relations with Harry.
An inside source said,
“Faith has always been a part of Charles’s life and something he’s explored, but since becoming King, it is playing a more central role. That reliance on Faith and quiet contemplation has become a comfort and asset to him and helps him cope with the role of King as he adapts to it.”
Hopefully, Charles And Harry Can Forgive Each Other
Charles and Harry had a very public falling out. In March 2021, Oprah Winfrey interviewed Harry and Meghan The Duchess of Sussex accused the royal family of racism.
Meghan claimed that when she was pregnant with Archie, there were “concerns” and “conversations” about how dark her and Harry’s son would be.
Of course, it was likely not a prejudiced comment, but Meghan took it out of context. In Harry’s controversial tell-all memoir, “Spare,” he villainized Camilla.
He called her a “wicked stepmother” and “the other woman.” Camilla was hurt by the shocking attacks on her character, which, in turn, hurt Charles.
The King is heartbroken over the distance between him and his son. He misses his grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet, but hasn’t seen them since June 2022, when Harry and Meghan traveled to Britain for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
Forgiveness is a significant theme in religion. One who forgives others is said to have a healthy connection with God and spiritual well-being. Hopefully, Charles and Harry can forgive each other.
Insiders say that Charles has said he loves Harry and would like to have him back. However, he and Meghan are no longer working royals. He misses the bond he once had with his son. Charles still hopes that he and Harry can one day mend what’s broken between them.
