Hollywood psychiatrist Dr. Charles Sophy thinks that Britney Spears needs a new conservatorship due to her erratic behavior.
Sophy Claims The Conservatorship Was there for A Reason
Of course, he’s not suggesting that Britney’s father be her guardian again, but that someone takes custody of her finances and mental health care.
“The conservatorship was there for a reason, and even though, like you said, it might not have been with the right person, the actual process needs to be in place,” Sophy explained. “When you have a mental illness to this degree, you need that kind of structure, supervision, and, most importantly, to take your medication.”
Sophy claims Britney Spears is “completely dysfunctional” and “in serious danger of going broke.” Apparently, her erratic behavior includes spending exorbitant amounts of money, destroying people around her, and other strange conduct like deleting her Instagram and re-activating it all on the same day.
The “Toxic” hitmaker entered a conservatorship with her father in February 2008. Her father, Jamie Spears, and attorney, Andrew M. Wallet, were her conservators.
The singer refused to give over custody of her sons to her ex-husband, Kevin Federline and was placed in a psych ward.
The conservatorship was supposed to come to an end in 2009. However, it lasted for over a decade after it began. Her father had been holding her against her will.
The FreeBritney movement finally helped the pop princess to finally break free of her conservatorship in November 2021.
Sophy says that he believes her behavior is due to her not taking her medication. The “Baby One More Time” singer could potentially hurt herself or someone else.
In September 2023, Britney Spears Posted A Video Of Herself Dancing With Knives
In September 2023, Britney posted an Instagram video of herself dancing and twirling around with knives. Everyone was fearful for her mental health. The caption in the post read,
“I started playing in the kitchen with knives today.”
Spears explained that the knives were “fake” and that neither she nor her adorable dogs in the video were in danger. She claimed that her team had rented the knives from the Hand Prop shop in Los Angeles.
She asserted that in the video, she was copying Shakria’s MTV Video Music Awards performance. She updated the post the next day and said, “Don’t worry, they are NOT real knives!!! Halloween is soon!”
Sophy explains that Britney’s behavior is very manic. She’s bipolar and, therefore, should be properly medicated. Another source added that Spears is in “serious danger” and has “shocking and radical mood swings.”
She’s been spending at least a million dollars a pop to travel to exotic places. We’ve all seen the pictures where she poses almost entirely nude from an exotic location on Instagram.
She reportedly had $60 million dollars at the time the conservatorship ended, and now she’s almost broke.
Sophy said that even though there was a massive outcry on a gigantic scale when Britney’s conservatorship was in place, he said it would only do her good. He claims that she’s “unraveling” and needs medication.
“When the conservatorship was in place, she wasn’t unraveling. She might not have been happy, but she was stable, Sophy said. “I think that’s what’s happened here. This is a no-medication situation.”
