Nothing get ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers excited like a possible change at the top, and in this case it looks like Ava Jerome (Maura West) will be cementing herself as someone Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) can trust.
And there may be some sparks happening before too long, though that may be a reach for the foreseeable future.
Plus, she’s Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros)’s best friend and we doubt she’ll stab Nina in the back, but stranger things have happened.
For now, she’s playing a pivotal role in keeping Sonny balanced while his family is surprised they’re being cut out after betraying him, though they had no problem cutting him out of their lives when their feelings were hurt.

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – Influencing Sonny’s decisions
Ava may be the sole reason Dex Heller (Even Hofer) lives and could be welcomed back into the organization, under close observation and no responsibilities.
Though ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers think it’s more likely he’ll be exiled like Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs). At least he has more money so he’ll be comfortable than she is.
But there’s still a lot of possibilities here as what Sonny does will probably depend on what Dex does. If he agrees to leave and not say a word or come back, it could all work out.
If not, he’s a liability Sonny will have to take care of.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – Talking Joss down
Ava’s biggest contribution may come when she has to talk Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) down off her ledge and convince her to take a step back.
Joss loves Dex and doesn’t want to lose him and we get that and don’t blame her, but she’s also going to put all the blame on Sonny as she’s done for the last couple of years.
Ava will try to get her to understand there’s more to the world than her hurt feelings and that Sonny’s dealing with a lot and he just found out his family, who he’s defended, betrayed him.
The face Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) wanted to send him to prison for life is huge, and if Joss tells her she was behind Michael doing that will give Ava another fire to put out.
This will be a good scene as Ava will try to soothe Joss and get her to understand and Joss will be thinking with her heart and will be in a lot pain over what could happen to Dex.
