In a shocking display of aggression, Deobra Redden pounced onto a Las Vegas judge who was sentencing him. When the defendant was sentenced for felony violence on Wednesday, the judge in Las Vegas was badly beaten; the prisoner managed to escape and violently threw her to the ground.
Judge Mary Kay Holthus was imposing a sentence on 30-year-old Deobra Redden when the bizarre occurrence occurred at Clark County District Court.
According to reports, Redden’s lawyer urged Holthus to grant his client probation, but she refused to budge. Redden jumped over the bench and attacked Holthus after she said something about him wanting to “get a taste of something else,” which left the courtroom in disarray.
You can view the incident on video below, but please be aware it contains quite shocking images.

Felon Goes AIRBORNE Attacking Las Vegas Judge During Sentencing
The yelling and fighting continued, and before the chaos subsided, a number of individuals, including the bailiff, rushed to calm Redden down. Some even gave Redden a few punches. Holthus was smacked in the head, but despite the terrifying event, sources informed 8 News Now, she was well.
Redden is said to have ran into trouble with the law on several occasions and has even been before Judge Holthus. A year in jail was served on a separate case of domestic assault, and he had previously been before her on accusations of damage of property.
Holthus “experienced some injuries,” according to District Court spokesperson Mary Ann Price, and is “being monitored.” After being hurt in the attack, a marshal was also transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening wounds.
