If there’s one thing that ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers have noticed is the show doesn’t mind trolling fans that disagree, and that’s cool. It’s important to stay true to one’s artistic vision.
However, when a majority of fans are against something, is it really wise to keep pushing it?
That’s the question we’ve been wondering ever since the storyline about Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker)’s baby being Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan)’s began.
It was blatantly obvious it was meant to bring the two of them together had the baby survived through the birth, and since Jude did it’s still our belief it’s going to happen.
The problem with it is many feel Nicole and Eric are tired and boring.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers – Keep the new
There are legacy characters and couples, but sometimes things work better when they’re not together. While we love Eric and Nicole, they were boring and that made them stand out.
But Eric moved on with Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) and Nicole with EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) and both relationships were full of energy and a freshness we haven’t seen from them in a while, and now both are married.
So, of course Sloan had to have a hand in stealing Nicole’s baby and passing it off as adopted after she changed the original DNA results to keep Eric from running back to her.
And the show’s way to get those of us that are tired of Eric and Nicole to like them is to destroy Nicole so we feel sorry for her and it’ll make Eric’s rage at Sloan all the more pure.
The thing is, ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers are over it.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers – Nicole’s redemption
We feel sorry for Nicole for what she’s going through and the actress is doing a tremendous job with it, but seeing her being systematically destroyed simply to make Eric going back to her make more sense has turned us and plenty of others off.
It’s heartbreaking, it’s gut wrenching, and it’s horrible what Nicole is going through and there’s no coming out of this for Sloan unless Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) falls on her sword and takes full responsibility for the baby shenanigans.
We’re supposed to feel sorry enough for Nicole to want to see her and Eric back together, but that comes across as weak to us.
If they love each other so much, then let them start to slowly work it out and find their way back to one another, not force feed us Nicole’s destruction to gain her sympathy. For a quick and easy solution it’s really being drawn out and that’s not helping.
But that’s us. What do you think? Is the storyline making Nicole more likable or is it too much? Let us know in the comments below and check back with ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation around.
