‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ (B&B) spoilers document that worrying about someone who has a history of mental instability is natural. It is logical to be concerned about someone who rebounds to one man.
Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) is stable. But Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) is concerned that Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) is not being clever.
Steffy believes Hope is using Thomas as a rebound from Liam. Devoted viewers know Hope has been married to Liam three times. She also married his brother, Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks), and was married to Thomas before her most recent remarriage to Liam.

Thomas’ concerns about Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) were accurate. But, as that storyline flowed, it became apparent Thomas used Douglas to gain access to Hope.
Now, soapy years removed from that manipulation, Hope believes Thomas has changed, and he has. Nevertheless, Steffy and all who know Thomas well realize he is emotionally vulnerable.

Hope, as shown in the section header, does not refer to Noelle’s character. Thomas still needs to get her.
He does have hope that she will fall in love with him. Hope was used as a verb in the last sentence rather than referencing Noelle’s character.
The audience heard Thomas tell Hope he loved her, but Steffy heard no equal reply when she was eavesdropping. Thomas tried to reassure his sister he was okay but understood why her protective instincts were in play.
Wood’s character and the rest of the Forrester family breathed a sigh of relief after Eric Forrester (John McCook) could breathe on his own. Steffy, in particular, can now focus on other issues, like Thomas’ connection to Hope.

What exactly is the connection Thomas and Hope have?
That is a fair question since there is a definition that fits it. To her credit, Hope has been upfront with Thomas. She tells him she is living in the moment, meaning their bond is about romantic companionship.
It could be that Steffy’s provocation pushes Hope to commit to Thomas openly. Alternatively, he could ask Hope what her intentions are now that they have been with each other for months on B&B.
